Burne-Jones: Forms Divinely Beautiful
with Dr. Sophie Hollinshead
Friday 22nd May
The Orangery, Newstead Abbey
1.30 to 3pm
£15 per person
Escaping into a world of art for art's sake and dreamlike images, this talk will focus on works on display in the exhibition. The photogravures represent some of the artists best known and most important works and we will discover some of the stories behind those works considering Burne-Jones’ approach to his subjects and his importance as an artist who links several of the key movements in later Victorian art. There will be an opportunity to view the exhibition after the talk.
